The Sweets Project was founded by Amber Clement, a baker and compassionate community member who believes every child deserves to feel celebrated. Inspired by the joy birthdays can bring and the reality that many children in foster care and families facing hardship may go without simple birthday traditions. Amber created The Sweets Project to make sure no child feels forgotten on their special day. 

The name “Sweets” carries personal meaning, rooted in the loving nickname Amber uses for her daughter. That spirit of love, warmth, and care became the heart behind this organization. For Amber, a cake is never just cake. It is a reminder to a child that they matter, they are seen, and they are worthy of joy. Through The Sweets Project, Amber hopes to build a community where birthdays become moments of hope, celebration, and belonging for every child.
